You can turn the keyboard behind the Lenovo Yoga 3 to turn it into a tablet, but the issue is that the keyboard is still visible when you have Yoga 3 Pro in tablet mode. But, OS X doesn’t officially support touchscreens anyways, so you won’t’ necessarily be missing anything by not having a touchscreen. Operating systems also come into play when considering these two devices. If you prefer OS X, you’ll definitely want the MacBook Air. But, if you like Windows, the Yoga 3 will be the better choice. You can install Windows on the MacBook Air, but the Yoga 3 supports more of its features.

We're not talking about a touchscreen display here - we're talking about a touchscreen keyboard underneath the display. Haptic feedback would be used to let you know when you've hit a key, though you'd just be hitting a flat surface with your fingers.
It's essentially an iPad-style on-screen keyboard for your laptop: something Apple is dubbing "zero travel" (because your fingers don't actually travel anywhere). No doubt the MacBook would be able to get even thinner as a result.

Keyboard evolution

While keyboard-lovers would be up-in-arms if the MacBooks adopted this new system, it would allow for flexible, custom keyboards just like those on iOS. The keyboard layout could change depending on the application being used.
Presumably battery life could be improved as well, which may help to sell the idea to MacBook buyers. Ultimately, Apple is unlikely to ditch the physical keyboard altogether - this is more likely to be an optional extra rather than something for its entire range.
As seasoned patent-watchers will know, these filings only show the ideas being thrown around behind the scenes, and there's no guarantee something like this will ever see the light of day - though it's fun to imagine a flat, touch-sensitive laptop keyboard.

With the launch of Windows 8 in 2012, Microsoft made touchscreen computing on the desktop mainstream. The Windows 8 interface attempted to bridge the gap between phones, tablets, and PCs by providing the same multi-touch experience first marketed by Apple in the original iPhone.

While touchscreen monitors are nothing new, they never had a reason to become more prevalent until Windows 8 hit the streets. Before that, only specific commercial applications and interactive displays used the technology. While Microsoft’s shiny new OS doesn’t require a touchscreen, its default layout certainly begs for one. Most power users continue to eschew the Windows 8 UI in favor of a traditional desktop. The OS in New Laptop Computer And Android Smartphone Replaces the CPU

Korea Telecom has shown off a new laptop computer that has no memory no CPU and no OS inside it relying instead on a Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone to provide the intelligence.

The company said that the laptop is essentially an accessory for the smartphone that gives the handset a larger screen and full-sized keyboard.

KT said that it has developed a software, which runs on Android ICS (ice-cream sandwich) OS or later and fully supports the smart phone and the laptop with one MHL cable. Currently, KT applied for a patent on this technology.

"Unlike conventional products that can be connected to specific terminal provided by specific manufacturer, Spider Laptop can be connected to various smart phones and laptops and consequently it will be the very first step for hardware eco-system led by the telecommunication company", said Park Yoon-Young, the Senior Vice President of KT technology development department, who is responsible for this project.

KT added that it plans to launch a low-priced model and cooperate with many manufacturers to introduce various versions of Spider Laptop. Also, KT will continue to expand the smart phone models that can be connected to Spider Laptop.

Step 8 – Select the Device

The Bluetooth will start searching for Bluetooth enabled devices in its vicinity. Select the laptop to which you want to send the file.

Step 9 – Assign Passkey

In case there are multiple devices in the vicinity, you should assign a passkey so that only intended recipient receives the file. This can be done by assigning a passkey through control panel of Bluetooth.

Step 10 – Accept the File
A message will appear on the recipient laptop indicating that a device is trying to send a file. Authorize your laptop to receive this file by keying in the passkey. Wait for the file transfer to complete.
